Dover Street Market is one of those places you can treat as a museum, that is of course, if you don't have the funds to purchase items from the array of designers that inhabit its space. It is after the genius of Rei Kawakubo that allows for that. Renowned for its concept-led use of space, the most recent DSM installation has come from Saint Laurent's (YSL as I still like to call it) very own Hedi Slimane.

Taking a few days off for a bi-annual face lift, DSM prepared for installing the latest SS13 collections, amongst which Slimane designed his very own take on how the latest collection of Saint Laurent should look. Slimane notoriously known for giving birth to the 'skinny jean' and defining Dior Homme as its creative director for many years, made his debut for the newly named Saint Laurent womenswear this season. Closely aligning himself with YSL's rich past (Le Smoking et al) the mood of the collection  was reminiscent of Slimanes' home for the past five years, LA. Here at DSM, Slimane presents his collection in futuristic way that is still very closely linked with it's rich history.
